Leesburg - The Lee County girls basketball team met their new head coach Fran McPherson.
The name may sound familiar.
McPherson coached at Crisp County before stepping down to raise her daughter eight years ago.
She returned to coaching this year as an assistant at Georgia Southern.
But the schedule of a college coach wasn't for McPherson is looking forward to spending time with her family and turning the Lady Trojans into a winning team.
Fran McPherson said "There is the backing between the adminstration, the community, the parents and the players themselves. They want to go to camp. They want to do the things to make themselves better."
One of McPherson's plans for turning around the Lee County girls basketball program is to build a middle school program that will feed the varsity program with players ready to play in the new coach's system.
