Fitzgerald -- Layoffs begin at a Ben Hill County industry. A Delphi spokesman confirmed the battery plant has started laying off the 300-person workforce.
Delphi sold the operation to Johnson Controls a year ago as part of the company's bankruptcy realignment. Employees said more layoffs are expected each day for the rest of the week.
The company wouldn't tell us those details but did say the "ramping down" of employees has begun.
