Valdosta - A Florida man is found guilty for shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend in Valdosta.

Julonda Lecedric Clayton is charged with shooting 29 year-old Deidra Miller of Lowndes County.

She was found dead in her car near her home on Mt. Zion Church Road in November 2005.

Prosecutors say Clayton shot her in front of her four year old son, then dropped him off at daycare and left town.

Daycare workers called the police after the boy told them what he saw.

Clayton surrendered four days later in Fulton County.

He will be sentenced on June 8th.
