Albany - The new South Coast League is looking to develop players for major league organizations that the big league scouts may have missed.
One such player is former Lee County star Kyle Keen.
Keen was not drafted after his senior season at Georgia last year.
A season where he played with an injured back.
Kyle did play two months last summer with an independent team in the Frontier League.
But Keen believes playing for the South Georgia Peanuts will be his best shot to show the major league teams what he can do when he is healthy.
Kyle Keen said "Really i don't think i have had enough time to show my ability to the affiliated teams yet. Hopefully, I will get the opportunity here."
The South Georgia Peanuts will host Macon Music in an exhibition game Friday night at 7:00 at the Paul Eames Complex.
