Valdosta - Folks in Valdosta have a few more reasons to look forward to their lunch break.

Valdosta Main Street is holding the 13th Annual Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series to celebrate National historic preservation month.

From 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM each day this week, they will host a live band and lunch provided by some downtown vendors on the Courthouse lawn.

The event celebrates the history of the heart of Valdosta and boosts business as well.  "People that come for the first time to brown bag come back and explore downtown, explore our shops, our restaurants and see what we have to offer," says Niki Knox, Valdosta Main Street Director.

The concert series will last through Friday and is free to anyone who wants to enjoy the music, outdoors, and downtown.

Prices of lunch vary from five to six dollars.
