Albany - - The sounds of Pomp and Circumstance continued in Albany Saturday.

Albany State University held its graduation ceremony at the Civic Center. Family members and friends of the graduates packed the house to cheer on their loved ones.

Music from the university's chorus and band provided entertainment just before that big moment when families would see their graduate walk across the stage.

"Jumping and screaming. I'm just proud of her. It was hard for her but she made it and I'm proud of her," says Jamila Westbrook who came to see her younger sister graduate.

Good news for graduates this year. The unemployment rate is down in Georgia, as the state creates more jobs. Over the past few months, there have been over 18,000 additional payroll jobs.
