Albany - Future astronauts launched rockets in South Georgia this morning. Students at Deerfield Windsor's lower campus in Albany took part in the annual launching, but before they could take off, last minute repairs had to be made.

Marley Collier says she learned a lot from the experience. She said, "We learned in the process that we have to work together to make this work. If you don't rely on each other, then it probably won't shoot off."

The young astronauts program started at Deerfield Windsor in 1984. Teachers say it teaches students responsibility and teamwork.
