Albany-- Relatives of a disabled Albany man murdered Saturday want your help to find his killer.
Zarry and Darleen Ponder drove from their home in Yonkers, New York when they found out his father was murdered in Albany. 64-year old George Ponder had to use a wheelchair. His throat was cut in his own living room on Shirley Avenue in east Albany. Investigators say they don't have any suspects.
Zarry says he can't rest as he wonders who would kill his father. Ponder said "who? Who? And I'm quite sure there is somebody out there that knows. Somebody they know. Somebody that know, that saw, that heard something. Somebody knows who did this. That's what the family needs. They need to know that answer."
George Ponder's funeral will be at 11 tomorrow morning at the Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Family members say finding his killer would help them find closure. If you have any information, call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
