Wildcats lineman out of hospital

May 3, 2007

Albany - Good news for the South Georgia Wildcats.

Head coach Derek Stingley says lineman Brandon Washington was released from the hospital Thursday.

Washington was taken to the hospital Tuesday for what Stingley says is an irregular heartbeat.

Stingley says doctors will continue to monitor Washington's heart rate and will continue him on medication.

Stingley says Washington was in good spirits as he watched Thursday's practice.

Washington will be placed on long term injured reserve which means he will miss at least the next four games.

The Wildcats travel to McAllen, Texas for Saturday night's game at Rio Grande.
