Thomasville--In the gymnasium at Thomas County Middle, the school system hosted an appreciation lunch.

It was part of the Business Education Exchange program. Around 400 local business team up with the schools to help out.

"It can take many different forms, really. Some of the businesses do monetary donations, or donate supplies. Some of the businesses send in like mentors to come and read to our students or help in other ways with student needs," said Dr. Kathy Keown, special programs director with the Thomas County School System.

Every student from the primary school all the way up to high school seniors benefit from the partnerships with local businesses.
