Thomasville- The Thomas University baseball team has been invited to the NAIA Region 14 Baseball Tournament.
The Night Hawks series win over Savannah College of Art and Design this past weekend moved them into fourth in the regional rankings.
"I couldn't be prouder of these guys. We started 5-10, and they kept working to get better. It really paid off, and I couldn't be happier for them", stated Head Coach Mike Lee. "We finally had a chance to play our way in, instead of having to sit around and hope for other teams to win or lose, and the guys stepped up to the challenge. They certainly deserve the chance to play for a championship."
Thomas University will face top seed in the region and 5th ranked nationally St. Thomas in the first round Tuesday afternoon in Miami, Florida.
