Valdosta - Former Valdosta State and Atlanta Falcon great Jessie Tuggle will be inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame this summer.
Tuggle, former Georgia Southern quarterback Tracy Ham and former Florida A&M head coach Billy Joe are three of six members of the College Hall's divisional class which is selected from non-division one schools.
Before he became an All-Pro with the Atlanta Falcons, Jessie Tuggle was a three time all-conference selection at linebacker at Valdosta State.
Tuggle holds the VSU record for career tackles and was a two time player of the year.
His number was retired at Valdosta State in 1993.
In 2002, he was inducted in the NCAA Division II Hall of Fame and in two weeks will be inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
