Albany - Albany City commissioners want to give baseball fans a break as they cheer on the South Georgia Peanuts during the grueling south Georgia summer. Tuesday, commissioners tentatively agreed to pay for a shade structure at Paul Eames Sports complex.

The minor league Peanuts baseball team will kick off their season in just a few weeks. The addition of the $47,000 shade structure will make the stadium more tolerable for fans when the temperature rises.

The South Coast League had previously asked for a new scoreboard be paid for by commissioners but since repaired the scoreboard with its own money.
