Albany   --   A puppy from the Lee County Animal Shelter has a new home in Louisiana thanks to the Internet. Teddy's about nine weeks old and had been listed online for adoption.

A woman in Bush, Louisiana had been looking for a German Shepherd like Teddy for a while. When she saw his picture, she knew he was the one. Teddy took off Today from the Albany Airport for his new home.

"It feels good," says Donna Mathis of Lee Co. Public Works. "He's going to a good home.  His owner couldn't keep him so he came to us that way and now he's going to a house where he's going to be able to run and be loved."

Pets-n-Pals helped provide the pet carrier Teddy was shipped in.  He arrived in his new home around three this afternoon.
