Albany  --  A Lee County man is charged with a string of burglaries in the Rawson Circle area of Albany. Police have also recovered a lot of items taken in those burglaries.

Twenty-year-old Lavalle Parker, a former standout athlete, is accused of nearly a dozen burglaries.  Parker is a former state champion athlete at Lee County High and Dougherty High.

Investigators have recovered all sorts of personal property.  If you were a victim, you should come forward to possibly claim your property.

"I have a brand new DVD booklet that I believe belongs to one of the persons still in the package.  I also have a quick click digital camera with the memory stick," said APD Sgt. Carmelita Preston.

Parker was just released from jail in November after being arrested for burglaries in the Old Dominion Road area of Dougherty County. He was still awaiting trial on those charges when he was picked up Monday.

Police think there may be another burglar working the Rawson Circle area, though and encourage people to keep their doors locked and report suspicious activity.
