Thomasville  --  Sheriff's Investigators are looking for a man wanted for a double murder in Thomas county Monday evening.

Authorities say Timothy Lamar James shot and killed his wife Tammy James, and her 16-year-old son Jamayas Wyche, after a domestic dispute around 5:00PM. This wasn't the first time the couple had issues.

"We actually, the sheriff's office was out there this past Friday night," said Thomas Co. Sheriff's Cpt. John Richards. "She was requesting our presence so she could get some clothes to leave the residence. And he didn't want her to leave."

Investigators think James had gone back to get more clothes when she and her son were shot. When police arrived, the woman was lying dead in her front yard, her son in the house. Tammy James other children were in the home and witnessed the shooting.

Police say Timothy Lamar James may be traveling in a Light grey ford F-150 truck, tag number AUU 9823, with a broken back window. If you have any information please call Thomas County Sheriff's Office.
