Waycross  --  As firefighters battle the wild fire, some evacuated south Georgians are now going home.

The Young family cleaned up Monday.  Don Young, Junior and his family returned to find his dad's house destroyed, his aunt's house gone, and much of his property reduced to a pile of ashes.

The sight was not an easy one to take. "It broke my heart," said Don Young, Junior. "I had to hold back some tears."

"My four wheeler, my motorcycle gone!  And I started crying, and I about fell out!" Lance Young said.

The community has helped to pick him up with donations of food, clothing, and other goods.

The Youngs say those gestures and family support that will help them rebuild.
