April 23, 2007

Nashville  --     Twenty-year-old Jonathan Nichols is charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of false imprisonment, and Sheriff Jerry Brogden says other charges are pending.

Saturday afternoon, the inmate reported that Nichols had sex with her on February 14th.      The GBI was called in to investigate, and Nichols was arrested. He worked at the Berrien County Jail for one year and before that worked at the Lowndes County Jail.

Sheriff Brogden said Nichols is being held in another undisclosed county's jail.  The inmate is still being held in the Berrien County jail on probation violations.
