Waycross-- At the Command Center dozens of people are separated into several departments to efficiently handle the fighting of this fire. People doing specific jobs in planning , logistics, feeding and housing, and finance departments ensure disorder doesn't get in the way of the purpose they're all there for.

Planning Section Chief Chuck Norvell explains, "Logistics orders resources, finance sort of pays logistics. We're all supporting operations. They're the ones out there trying to put the fire out."

The men and women working represent different agencies and have come from all over the state. So far the cost of this fire tops $1.6 million dollars.
