Tifton -- Georgia football coach Mark Richt paid a visit to South Georgia Tuesday, as the head Bulldog stopped by Spring Hills Country Club in Tifton for the second-annual Mark Richt Bulldog Classic golf tournament.
The coach showed up with clubs in hand, helping to raise money for various football necessities, like summer camps and travel expenses.
Richt discussed the future of the Dogs with supporters in attendance, and while the barbecue was personalized for the Georgia coach with a Georgia "G," Richt spent plenty of time personalizing autographs and posing for pictures with the fans.
The coach says continuing to build support is a necessity.
"It's just important to be with the fan base," says Richt. "We have so much support in the Tifton area, and South Georgia, and across the state. It's just good to get out and spend time with everybody."
Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo were also in attendance at the Bulldog Classic.
