Albany - A new housing development will bring up to 60 affordable townhouses to South Albany. Vantage Development group is planning to construct a multifamily housing development for families along the 400 block of Ebony.

It will be called The Bridges at Southlake and will consist of up to 60 two and three bedroom units. Paul Robinson says, "We found out that there was a huge need in South Albany and so we got a chance to come down here and do our due diligence and we work in many cities in Georgia and Albany is just one of the cities where we would like to do business."

It will take at least a year to complete all the paperwork and get final approvals and financing in order. Then construction should begin.
