WALB's Most Wanted

April 17, 2007

Albany-  Dozens of law enforcement officers gathered Tuesday for the kickoff of a crime- fighting partnership with WALB-TV. WALB'S Most Wanted will begin April 17th on First News at Five. Anchor Dawn Hobby will profile South Georgia's most wanted fugitives in hopes that you will recognize them and turn them in.

"The more people that tune in and follow this program and get involved and the more communities involved, the better offense you're going to have. We're all a part of the same village and we're all relying on each other to make sure this system works," said Joe Mulholland, District Attorney South Georgia Judicial Circuit.

Law enforcement officers from 31 South Georgia counties will provide WALB with mug shots. Sheriffs, Police Chiefs and District Attorney's from many of those counties gathered at the Lee County jail today for the kickoff. WALB's Most Wanted airs Monday on First News at Five.
