Valdosta -- The ABAC Men's basketball team set new standards for successat the school this past season with 27 wins, and were ranked as high as 9th in the country.
Stallions coach Todd Sheppard was named National Junior College Athletic Association Region XVII coach of the year for his effort.
The coach continuing to bring in some of the areas top local talent, Monday signing center Michael Tippins of Valdosta High school.
Tippins averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds a game for the Wildcats last season.
