Albany --  The Albany Museum of Art held it's biggest fundraiser of the year Sunday.

For six hours, viewers could tune in to WALB and take part in the museum's annual "Let's Make A Bid" fundraiser.

The money raised will go toward bringing educational programs to the museum as well as other art events throughout the year.

Organizers hope to surpass their goal of $80,000, and are grateful to all the people who make the fundraiser a success.

"We thank everyone, our members, the donors, the bidders who support this museum and people who go above and beyond, we definitely say thank you for supporting the museum," said Calandra Jefferson Project Manager.

Some of the items up for bid included a pair of snake skin boots valued at $140, a necklace and ear ring set valued at $100, and gift cards for many area businesses.
