Albany - The Monroe boys team edges out Perry High and Westover to win the boys team title at the Westover Relays Saturday at Hugh Mills Stadium.
The Carrollton girls showed they will be a team to compete with in the AAA classification at the girls state track meet in three weeks at Hugh Mills.
The Carrollton girls beat Monroe for the team title.
Lee County's Michael Daniels had a big day with wins in both hurdles events.
Monroe's Latricia Jackson finished second in the the girls 400-meter dash.
Lee County's Jesse Karcher participated in the 200 and 800 meter in the paralympic track and field.
Karcher set a meet record with his time in the 200 meter wheelchair run.
The prelminaries for the girls region track meet are next week.
