Albany - Proud patriots were recognized today for displaying old glory. On Friday, the Exchange club of Albany honored three businesses and home owners who display the flag prominently, proudly, and correctly.

Walter Cowan says he doesn't see enough red, white and blue and is doing his part to remind others of what the flag symbolizes. "We've lost our way and I'm just doing a little small part to hopefully bring us back. It's the greatest country in the world. we have more freedom here than any other country in the world has," said Cowan.

Club members were also given a brief overview of the importance of properly displaying a flag. Remember, you should never hang a worn, torn or faded flag and it should never be displayed below another flag.
