Albany - When ABAC coach Todd Shepard got his job with the Stallions he built a recruiting pipeline from Tifton to Albany.

Shepard hit gold with the likes of Brandon Shingles, De'Jon Everson and Leon Buchanan.

Thursday, Shepard wasback at Westover High to sign three of Dallis Smith's top players.

Guard Dominque Polite was the second leading scorer for the Patriots this year.

Raheem James averaged ten points a game.

Walter Dawkins missed the entire season due to a knee injury but coach Shepard knows he will be a key contributor to the ABAC program.

Dawkins is the younger brother of Brandon Shingles.

Lee County post standout DeVaughn Thomas is heading to the Sunshine State.

Thomas has signed to play at Okaloosa-Walton Community College.

Thomas averaged a double-double his senior season at Lee County in scoring and rebounding as Lee County won the region 1-AAAA basketball title.

Thomas was also selected to play in the GACA North-South all-star game.
