Lowndes County - Valdosta Police and Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office charged five men with a couple of violent armed robberies.

Police say 21 year-old Louis Etheridge of New Orleans, 21 year-old Zebedee Manning of Valdosta and a 16 year-old from Valdosta are charged with burglary, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

Police say the men burst into a home on Poplar Drive Saturday morning and stabbed the homeowner several times in the chest before robbing him.

They say a day later the three returned with 26 year-old Roderick Lane and 21 year-old Taurean Clayton, both of Valdosta and robbed another home on Lowndes Drive while holding the homeowner at gunpoint.

Lane and Clayton are charged with burglary and armed robbery.
