Doerun --  A tanker hauling 5,500 gallons of used oil overturned around 10:45 in Doerun Thursday and dumped half its load.

Driver Billy Roberson of Lake Park says he was on his way to Georgia Petroleum of Valdosta from Columbus when the 5th wheel broke off of his rig, detaching the tractor from the tanker as he rounded a curve on highway 33.

"We got on site and put dirt, trying to keep any runoff from getting any farther than what was here." said EMA Director Russell Moody. "Real fortunate that no one was hurt.  We're glad of that.  That's the main thing."

Doerun police do not expect to file charges against Roberson.  The Department of Public Safety is also investigating.
