Albany - - Children in East Albany were treated to a day in the park with the Easter bunny Sunday.

The Eastside Community along with the Litman Funeral Home held its 7th annual Easter parade and egg hunt at Heath Park.

Children hunted for eggs, some of them with money inside.

Organizers say the egg hunt is a fun way to honor tradition and teach children the meaning behind all of the fun.

"As you can see these kids are just as happy as they can be here on Easter. Yet we want to remember the reason for this day. That is that Christ rose on this day that we all may have a right to the tree of life," says John Litman.

Organizers also held a car show to bring out adults to help kids celebrate the holiday.
