Albany - - The Easter holiday is just hours away. Some South Georgia children are making sure they have all their eggs lined up before the Easter bunny arrived.

The annual Great Egg Hunt brought tons of families out to Chehaw park Saturday. Children hurried across an open field to collect as many eggs as possible. After they lined up their eggs, they exchanged them for candy.

The kids say they take this very seriously.

"You can get one egg over there and you can get a whole bunch of candy. There was a whole bunch of people out there. I ran out there and dived on my knees, crawling over, getting eggs. A lot of kids out there try to tackle you and everything," says Tyler Sheffel.

The event was well attended, as many families waited in line off of Philema road, just to get into the park.
