Randolph County  --  A Landstar tractor-trailer was passing through Randolph County Thursday afternoon, when it suddenly caught on fire.

The driver told officers he pulled over after he saw smoke coming from his truck, and that he began to put out the fire himself with an extinguisher.

The fire quickly engulfed the truck, but there were no injuries. Deputies and firefighters from Randolph County were on the scene quickly to contain the blaze and to handle traffic.

We don't know the cause of the fire at this time.
