Athens - The battle for quarterback dominated spring practice at Georgia last year.
Not this spring where rising sophomore Matthew Stafford is firmly cemented as the Bulldogs starting quarterback.
Stafford's rookie season had its ups and downs like three straight wins over ranked teams and also 13 interception.
The big thing for the Bulldogs is they head into the summer knowing they have proven quarterback.
Matthew Stafford said "It helps you play with confidence knowing that the people are in the huddle with you and the people on the sidelines trust in you and believe in you and that you can get the job done. It is just something that makes it easier on any player at any position to know they trusted by their coaches and teammates."
Georgia ends spring practice with the G-Day game Saturday at 2:00pm at Sanford Stadium.
