Valdosta - A Valdosta man gets life in prison for brutally beating and robbing an elderly woman.
22-year-old Brent McNeal forced his way into Mary Dewar's Valdosta home last April.
He severely beat her and dragged her around her home as he robbed her.
Dewar was 88-years-old.
Tuesday, he was convicted of aggravated assault, burglary, robbery and kidnapping.
He received life in prison for kidnapping and 20 years for each additional charge.
