Valdosta - The City of Valdosta is recognized for it's explosive growth.
Site Selection Magazine has named Valdosta one of the hottest Metropolitan Statistical Areas for industrial recruitment and expansion.
They received the recognition for cities with populations less than 200,000.
The city fell just below Auburn and Tuscaloosa, Alabama in that category.
The decision was based on the new and existing industry announcements and jobs created in 2006.
