Scottsboro, AL -- The two-time defending national champion Darton College golf team played in the three-day Spring Fling tournament at the Goose Pond Colony in Scottsboro, Alabama over the weekend.
The Cavaliers very familiar with the course, as it's the site of the NJCAA national tournament.
The Cavs hope to be back at Goose Pond later in the year, and with similar results.
Darton College winning the Spring Fling tournament, out-pacing the 26-team field by a dozen strokes on the par-71 course.
Central Alabama finishes in second and Tyler well back in third. Cavalier sophomore Troy Bartkowicz is the medalist, and the only player under par.
His teammates Bill Jones and Oliver Turnill tie for second at three-over, while Coleman Calhoun is tied for eleventh at ten over for the tournament.
