Albany -- Girl Scouts of southwest Georgia gather in Albany to host a community awareness event, and celebrate 95 years of existence.

Several non-profit and family organizations set up booths and activities for people to enjoy. The MCLB had a K-9 unit show, and carnival games, even a rock climbing wall was set up. The event was held to celebrate the Girl Scout organization's birthday and bring awareness to what they do.

Troop members are proud of what they accomplish.

"We make stuff, we do stuff, and went on field trips. We talk, we eat, we do a lot of stuff," said Shamyricle Murphy.

The Girl Scout's mission is to build a girl's courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place.
