Tifton -- Three Tifton teenagers were jumped by an unidentified group of teens who beat them up with metal tire irons, wood, and other heavy items before running away.
It happened Wednesday night at the Meadow woods Apartments off Tift Avenue. Police say the group approached the teenagers who were hanging out outside.
They used 2 by 4 pieces of wood, chains, a brass knuckle, and and metal tire irons to beat the guys - leaving gashes and eye swelling on some of the victims.
One of the victims' mother took them to the hospital.
"I hope they catch who did it because they said it was 12 of them there was 4 on each one of them and there was only 3 of them," Belinda Culpepper says.
The victims say the group of guys left in a gold or brown older model Chevy Capri and a charcoal color Dodge Ram truck.
They say they couldn't recognize the suspects. Police are looking for them.
