County looks to extend local option sales tax

Cairo-- If the SPLOST referendum passes, Grady County should receive almost $7 million to pay for more office space, roads and bridges and to assisst the Grady county volunteer fire department.

The city of Cairo would receive over $4 million to go towards debt reduction, streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters and drainage.

The extension projects to raise 14 million dollars over the next 6 years.
