Albany -- The South Georgia Wildcats made some big changes to the team, with nine players officially added to the roster Saturday, including two quarterbacks and a couple of players with AFL experience.
QB Julian Reese is now officially back with the Cats after joining the team through a trade midway through last season.
Former Fort Valley quarterback Cecil Lester is the other quarterback assigned Saturday, with D. Bryant already on the roster.
Bryant threw for 59 touchdowns against just seven interceptions last year with Manchester, and both he and Reese are due in for the Cats first practice on Tuesday.
Defensive back Roland Cola was on the AFL roster of the Philadelphia Soul last season, and rookie center Lunda Wells opened up training camp this year with Grand Rapids.
Wildcats head coach Derek Stingley says with so much talent there's a battle at every position, and tough decisions will have to be made for the quarterbacks.
"It's a shame," says Stingley, "because one of those guys will probably ask to be released, if they don't make it, or sit as a back-up, and I don't see either one of them doing that. There's a possibility we may trade to better the team for one of those guys."
The Wildcats scrimmage Alabama March 17th at the Civic Center, and open the season at home March 31st against Arkansas.
