Albany - - A hit and run car crash in broad daylight this morning in downtown Albany.

It happened at North Jackson Street and Broad Avenue just before 10 a.m.

Police say the driver of a blue and gray colored truck ran a red light and caused the driver of a white ford focus to run into the truck.

The crash tore off the front bumper of the white car. People downtown at the time say it caused a big commotion.

"I was in there paying a bill and when I turned around looked out of the window, the truck hit the car and spinned around and the truck kept going," says Ben Foster.

The woman driving the white car was not hurt.

Police say it shouldn't be too hard to find the truck driver who drove off since the truck was also damaged in the crash.
