Albany -- Some confusion on the speed limit on the Liberty Bypass. Construction delays on the resurfacing of the Bypass around Albany has the speed limit remaining at 65 miles per hour for three more days.

Construction was to begin on resurfacing a nearly ten mile stretch of the bypass Sunday night, and the Department of Transportation announced they would lower the speed limit to 55 miles per hour the previous Friday.

But the Department of Transportation delayed that work's beginning until this Sunday, weather permitting. and they have announced the speed limit will remain 65 until this coming Friday.

The 65 mile an hour speed limit signs will be changed to say 55.

The construction work will be done at night, from 7 PM to 6 AM.
