Dawson -- Playing in the GISA State Final Four is nothing new for the Terrell Academy girls basketball team.
The Lady Eagles seniors have been to the state semi-finals every year of their high school careers.
Terrell lost in the semi's last season after playing for the state title the year before.
No Lady Eagles basketball team has ever won a state championship, and the two seniors on the team are hoping to make history.
Senior Courtney Spilman says, "It would feel really good, because no one had won state at Terrell, and looking back on it, it would make us feel good, me and Christina as seniors, saying we were part of the team to make history."
Christina Sapp says, "That's why I'm so determined that we get it, because it's my last year, and I really, really want it. Hopefully we'll get it. We're overdue for it."
Head Coach Keith Jones says his teams experience on the big stage will be very useful.
"We've got the experience," says Jones. "I always like to say you've got to have a good team, but you got to have a little luck. We've had some good teams, but we're waiting on a little luck right here."
"We've been there a lot of years in the past, and we really think this year is going to be different," adds Spilman.
The Lady Eagles play David Emmanuel in the Final Four Thursday at 2:30pm.
