Cairo -- The city of Cairo's cable supplier, CNS is struggling financially.   Right now CNS has about 2,400 cable and 889 Internet subscribers. The mayor says the technology and service of CNS are fine, but says those numbers need to go way up.

"We're gonna put a job scope together for a position we feel is necessary to make this vision is a reality. Marketing will be part of the aspect, but will be involved in other things as well," aid Mayor Richard VanLandingham.

City officials met earlier this week to discuss a profit plan for CNS. Besides the new position to bring in subscribers, the city also plans to increase local programming for the CNS system.
