Albany -- An Albany woman will head metro Atlanta in the morning to stand up for family values and represent Dougherty County in the Mrs. Georgia United States Pageant.

Lou Easter Milledge Hardy is reigning Mrs. Albany. She'll compete against more than 30 women statewide judged on their beauty, poise, and personality.

Hardy says if she wins, she'll share with others the importance of family.

"Your family is the most important thing, and marriage. I believe in marriage strongly and vows," said Mrs. Georgia Pageant contestant Lou Easter Milledge Hardy.

To qualify for the pageant, a woman must be at least 21-years-old, living with her husband, and have good moral character.
