Dawson - - Mayor Robert Albritten is in trouble with the law again - this time charged with speeding and driving under the influence.

Albritten was arrested Sunday at 3:00 a.m. in Dooly County. He was pulled over for speeding, that's when deputies found Albritten had been drinking.

Albritten was held in the county jail for about five hours and released. This is his second drunken driving arrest in four years.

In 2003, he plead guilty to charges of DUI when he crashed into another car, injuring a woman. In 2005, Albritten was sentenced to 12 months probation and fined $9,000  for allegations he falsified life insurance forms. 12 felony counts were dismissed and nine were reduced to misdemeanors. He plead no contest to those nine charges.

A court hearing for last weekend's DUI is scheduled for March 19th.

Albritten did not return our phone call for comment.
