Lawrence County, Pa. -- A lawsuit is being filed today by Attorneys Robert Peirce and Joseph Bellissimo, on behalf of William and Roberta Barkay, of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.
The attorneys, in a press release say that Mrs. Barkay died of illness caused by peanut butter made by the ConAgra plant in Sylvester. She was 76.
The release says that William Barkay, 84, first became ill in November of 2006, and had to be hospitalized after eating the Peter Pan peanut butter. Then his wife became ill with similar symptoms. She died on January 30th.
This firm says it represents 20 other people who say they were sickened by the peanut butter.
