How to get a refund for your peanut butter

February 18, 2007

Sylvester - - As the Federal Drug Administration looks into a possible salmonella outbreak at the Peter Pan Plant in Sylvester, ConAgra Foods is making it easy for you to get your money back from peanut butter you bought, whether you opened it or not.

The company is issuing full refunds to customers who have Peter Pan or Great Value Peanut Butter that begins with product code 2111 on the jar's lid or label.

All you have to do is return your peanut butter to the store where you bought it. The company also has a 24 hour hotline where you can call with questions or concerns.  That toll free number is 1-866-344-6970.

If you don't get through the first time, the company asks that you try again due to the high call volume.

If you don't remember where you bought your peanut butter, but you'd still like a refund, you can mail your peanut butter lid or label with the product code on it to:

ConAgra Foods

P.O. Box 3768

Omaha, Nebraska 68103.
