Albany -- Spring clothing has sprung early at many retail stores. Albany's Goody's store marked down its winter wear and made plenty of space for swim suits and spring apparel.

Store managers say it's a good time to push spring sales because shoppers are cashing in on Christmas gift cards, and people preparing for the warm season.

"Just like with christmas you need to get the stuff in months early. We're getting our stuff in now so people are already buying swimsuits, bathing towels, the skirts, the sandals, and basically getting ready," said Goody's Asst. Manager Angela Freeman.

Assistant Manager Angela Freeman says another reason to get warm weather merchandise out is because spring breakers are out shopping now.
