Doerun-- A suspected bank robber and carjacker is behind bars in Colquitt County.
Investigators say the suspect robbed a Doerun bank and stole a man's car, both at gunpoint.

Investigators say a black male Robbed the Ameris Bank in Doerun about 12:30PM, then ran to a nearby parking lot where he pointed a gun at a man and took his car.

After a short chase along highway 202, he ran off the road and ran into nearby woods.

He was captured a short time later. Sheriff Al Whittington says he's happy it ended quickly and peacefully.
